DBC Return Plan
May 31st
Sunday Morning – 2 identical services - 8:30am & 10:30am
· Please sit on every other pew, on the end of the pew. Also, please sit together as a family to allow more open seating.
· Masks are highly encouraged but not required. Consider how much breath is forced out during congregational singing. Masks will help to protect our high-risk population.
· This will be a “touchless” or “handsfree” service. Greeters will open the exterior doors so that you do not have to touch the door handles.
· Please enter the church building through only the three sanctuary entrances. The rest of the building will be closed off.
· Hand sanitizer will be available at all entrances.
· We ask those who have self-quarantined and/or our high-risk population to come to our early service. Also, we ask that those who have been “out and about” at work, gatherings, etc. to come to our later service. This will help to protect our most vulnerable population.
· For the 10:30 service, we will still livestream to Facebook and broadcast to 92.7FM and 1400 AM. If you are not yet ready to resume in-person gatherings, join us online or on the radio.
· We will be disinfecting between the two services.
· We will still be social distancing. Please use waves and smiles instead of handshakes and hugs.
· There will be no nursery or childcare during those services.
Sunday Morning at 9:45 – Family Worship – in the Youth Room
· Since we understand that not having a nursery is difficult for young families, here is an option for them. At 9:45, Mrs. Karen and Brad will hold a 30 minute Family Worship.
· This will be a time for children to sing songs and have a short lesson from Mrs. Karen, while also allowing parents a time for fellowship and a devotion from Brad.
· Families will stay spread out across the youth room with each family having their designated area.
· Parents, feel free to bring what you need to keep the kids healthy and happy.
· This time is designed for our children that would normally be in our nursery or children’s church. However, we want the entire family to attend, including older siblings.
Sunday School:
· Sunday school classes can meet at a separate time during the week or weekend. If you would like to use the church facilities for that meeting, contact the office and reserve a time. We only ask that people use the fellowship hall, rather than Sunday School rooms, so that they can spread out. Classes are also welcome to continue using Zoom if they prefer.
Sunday PM services:
· For now, there will be no Sunday PM services. This time is intentionally left open for Sunday School classes to meet if they so desire.
Wednesday Services:
· Prayer meeting will resume as usual at 6:30 with similar social distancing guidelines.
· Currently, there will be no children/preschool activities on Wednesday nights.
· Youth group has already resumed meeting outside and will continue to do so.
Friday May 29th:
· In order to bathe this return to the church building in prayer, we will hold a short prayer walking service on Friday May 29th. The time will be announced soon.
Again, thank you church family for you faithfulness during this season. If you have questions or concerns, please call one of the staff or the church office.
